SCLEC was incorporated in 1999 to allow the Sun Coast PBA to raise funds through charity events to support survivors of fallen officers, critically injured officers, off-set costs for officer training, survival techniques, provide scholarships to dependents and give back to the community through sponsorships and donations. The general purposes for which this corporation was formed are to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, which qualifies SCLEC as an exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3). Sun Coast Law Enforcement Charities, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) corporation and your donations are fully tax deductible.
